What is BuildMyCreditScore?

BuildMyCreditScore is a revolutionary debit card that works with your bank to build your credit score through everyday spending.*  The card works with your bank, ensuring you can only spend the money that's in your account.

Once you’ve spent, we'll process the payment a few days later using direct debit.** We’ll let you know at the end of each day, the date that direct debit will happen.

At the end of each month, we report your purchases and payments to the Credit Reference Agencies, helping you to build credit.

* BuildMyCreditScore reports on time and late payments, which may negatively impact your credit score. Credit scores are independently determined by credit reference agencies based on a number of factors, including your other financial transactions. BuildMyCreditScore reports to Transunion, Experian and Equifax. The BuildMyCreditScore Debit Card and related services will not remove negative credit history from your credit report. 

**  Timing of Direct Debit collections is based on the UK BACS scheme, and will generally be from 2 to 4 days depending on weekends and holidays.
